This is sort of like asking, "Which tastes better: dog poop or cat poop?" They were both pretty horrendous. If I was forced to pick which one to watch, it would probably be Deep Impact.

I realize that Armageddon was one this films where you're supposed to leave your brain at the door, but d*mn, it makes a Roadrunner/Wile E. Coyote cartoon seem realistic in comparison. Couple that with the obnoxious Russian character and Steve Buscemi's "space dementia" nonsense, and it's pretty unwatchable without a large quantity of liquor or some sort of brain damage.

Deep Impact seemed like a big budget TV movie of the week but at least it didn't go to such ridiculous extremes. And there's always Morgan Freeman who classes up any movie he's in.

Completely disagree.

Deep Impact had heart and brains. From what I've heard, Armageddon had neither.

Oh god!! Armageddon is completely unwatchable. It has some of the worst 1-2 dialogue, and a horrendous editing job. The 2-second cuts are a chore for the eyes. An absolute disaster!!!

meh, i didnt think either movie was particularly amazing. but to each his own. (having morgan freeman as president doesn't hurt though ......speaking of which anyone notice how he gets to play all of these "supreme" roles. god in bruce almighty, president in deep impact, and, um, well thats about all i can think of )

Are you admitting that you haven't seen Armageddon?

If so, how can you judge something that you have not seen?*

Deep Impact was the comedy?

I mean seriously, it was the one movie in Hollywood that the Pron industry didn't have to think too hard about the title when they were making a parody of it.

Maybe because it was directed by Michael Bay. Just like Boll, all of Bay's movie are SOS (Same Old Sh**). Or maybe SOS is Stupid Obnoxious Sh**.

I liked Deep Impact better. I thought the plot of Amageddon was rather silly.

Armageddon. Deep Impact put me in a deep sleep. i fell asleep in theaters watching the movie.

I do like this coments of people saying both movies suck and then they have movies like 300, Ultra Violet, and other Michael bay Films in their collection....

Agreed. Deep Impact is a little more believable between the 2.
