Default my home audio decision

i have a farely small room with a 500ish budget ... i orginally was leaning towards HTiB of Onkyo HT-6100 ... but now im thinking of just going with this for now

http://www.accessories4less.com/make...urround/1.html
OR
http://www.accessories4less.com/make...r-BLACK/1.html

COMBINED with the POLK AUDIO RM6750 5.1 CHANNEL HOME THEATER SPEAKER SYSTEM
and then later when i come accross more spending money for my audio i can add a pair of floorstanding and a new center to upgrade to 7.1

Thoughts ?? / Suggestions ??

I own the 606, so my opinion is going to be biased as I love it. I know that Marantz makes a good product. I suggest to you that you demo each product before you buy because in the end its only your opinion that matters.

will do .. thanks ...
as far as the option of set up's ... the second route you would say is a better option than the HTiB right?

Not a big fan of the HTIB, they skimp to much on the speakers. I bought my receiver and it set on the floor for a month. Then I bought my fronts and they set on the floor for another month, next to the receiver. Then the next month I bought my surrounds and sub. The moral of the story is that " its a hobby" "patience is a virtue" "good thing come to those who wait". Three months later I have a home theater that I am extremely happy with.

Like Nick4u_81 my opinion is also biased but for the Marantz - both receivers will likely be to your liking. The Onkyo I believe has the ablility to process the new lossless codecs while the Marantz does not - but if you are like me and the decoding is done at the source (PS3) then you're all set. However if you ever wish to add an amp in the future then the Marantz has the 7.1 pre-outs required while the Onkyo only has the sub out according to the specs.

Again just an opinion +1 Marantz

With the sale going on, those Marantz AVRs are a steal...... but again.... I'm biased also (have a couple of them) and I have Onkyo, Sony, Yamaha, Nad, etc... sitting around somewhere........
