I'm excited about this but will only replace my DVD boxset if they offer the uncut versions of all eight films along with a 3D version of part 3.

I have the entire series on:

- Individual DVD
- DVD boxset
- Part 1 in blu

I will pass on this set if it does come out. I would like to have 2, 3 and 4, so hopefully we will see all of these as individual releases.

I am a huge Halloween fan but I will not hold my breath on seeing a blu or dvd box set in the U.S. I know the UK had a dvd box a year or so ago. I would just like to see them individually released on blu.

I understand the business all too well---

don't understand why people aren't peeved about being ripped off over and over again.

I guess I just shouldn't buy anything for at least a year to cover immediate
double dips and price drops-- hardly good for the blu-ray business that
I want to support....

and to further expand on my concerns--

TOTAL RECALL-- terrible transfer
TRUMAN SHOW-- stretched framing
EVENT HORIZON-- stetched framing

I just feel that when I upgrade to a blu-ray disc I shouldn't have to worry about this kind of stuff.
I fully understand newer versions coming out later with bonus materials-- I'm okay with that.
I don't like having subpar releases or stand alone movies that come out and then get offered in a
boxed set almost immedately after and I have to buy a movie AGAIN to get the rest of the titles--
to me that's a rip-off.

In the U.S., Anchor Bay, Universal, Disney, and Weinstein hold the rights to all of the Halloween films. There's no way there will be a boxset.

Friday 13th parts 2 and 3 are out on blu ray this week in the u.k. I have ordered pt 2 but not 3 as i bought the region 1 3-d version which was to say the least disappointing quality wise. I dont know if i'd want a friday boxset as im not keen on both the sans jason films (pt's 1 and 5) and 8 was terrible too. Might just pick up a couple more of these seperately hopefully!

Sadly the HALLOWEEN series box set is a pipe dream unless Anchor Bay, Universal and Dimension join forces. Hell, I would take a decent 16x9 print of HALLOWEEN H20 at this point.

Now... with the Friday remake being a "joint venture" of sorts with Paramount and New Line/Warner, a full boxset may not be out of the question if they can play nice!

Get a PAL/R2 compatible DVD player, and you can have 16:9 versions of H:20 and H6:Curse. The latter is even 5.1 in the UK!

There is no "Uncut" Halloween 2.

The ending you mentioned was from the TV version, which did add some scenes, mostly expository, but also cut down or replaced many of the killings.

I have the import of H20 but the picture quality is still not too hot. The US DVD was supposed to be a special edition with deleted scenes and commentary (as most of the 1st pressings packages stated) but released featureless and non anamorphic. Let's hope that the Rob Zombie HALLOWEEN sequel prompt some of these studios to do a re-release.

And although the rumored SCREAM 4 sounds like a disaster, it may get Dimension moving on a bluray set of those films too!

After the second movie their not worth watching. File the Friday the 13th box set under another useless release that dosen't need to be.

I totally agree. I wish they would release them separately. I just got the first one and the second one is the only other one I want.
