Default Rumor: JAWS Remake In The Works?

From marketsaw:

Quote:
Rumor: JAWS Remake In The Works? In S3D... With Tracy Morgan!?!

Jim here. According to Cinema Blend, the classic Spielberg thriller JAWS may be rebooted in stereoscopic 3D for today's audiences. They have a source at Universal who says that they are "strongly considering a remake".

The source goes further and claims that Tracy Morgan was at one point being considered for Richard Dreyfuss' part of Matt Hooper.

That one threw me for a loop.
Tracy Morgan? Well, even if they were going for a comedic touch on this one there are plenty of other comics I think I would choose in his stead. Bradley Cooper for example. HEY! Cooper... Hooper! Planets are aligning, I can feel it.

I hope they get it done actually. The last 3D attempt with JAWS failed miserably (even though I sat through it twice in theaters). More when I get it!

Thoughts on this?????

I don't think they would actually do a remake of Jaws, but I could see them doing another shark related movie...whatever happened to the "Meg" shark movie that has been talked about for years?

yeah, because Universal has such a great track record with JAWS 3-D

except this time, let's take away the talent of Scheider, Dreyfuss, and Shaw
and Replace it with UPN calibre actors and a CGI shark!!

My first thought is "dang, why can't Hollywood come up with an original idea!"

Man that shark in Jaws looked hella fake. Im sure if they did a remake atleast the shark would look real. I dont know about Tracy Morgan though. That movie with him and Bruce Willis looks funny but I wouldnt put him in Jaws! Im opened for a remake as long as its done right! Got Em!!

you ain't seen "hella fake" until you see a CGI cartoon swishing around the water with animated blood all over from the victim!

my vision of a Jaws remake would be

close to a Deep Blue Sea. kind of film..

get some really good Actors..

for instance.

Anthony Hopkins. as the Ship Captain, maybe grab a few other young Actors. like Sam Worthington..

get a really HUGE Great White.. A Real Mean Shark..
keep to the classic. with the Music..

but do we always need a Remake?

A Sequel.. that way if they mess up. it wont be So Legit. haha

Cmon man u know in the right hands the CGI can look stunning and real. Im just sayin. I like the old Jaws but on certain parts especially closeups u can tell it was fake. I think they could make a nice shark in CGI if the right person did it. Got Em!!
