Default blindness not on Blu-ray? and Quarantine worth a blind buy?

Anyone know if they will release Blindness on blu? Also anyone who has seen Quarantine is it worth buying on blu, or would the picture quality prob not be to much of a difference?

I saw the original that Quarantine is based on (Rec). It is a truly scary horror movie. Probably the best I've seen since The Descent. However, if Quarantine is shot in the same manner, I would expect it to be much like Cloverfield's Blu-ray release (minus the huge monster and plus zombies). I say, if you can get a for a reasonable price, take the plunge.

I believe it was mentioned somewhere that blindness was going to see release later in the year. Not sure on that though. There has been a handful of movies that had the blu version scrapped. How to lose friends and alienate people, city of ember, blindness just to name a few. Hopefully we see all these later this year.

IMO Quarantine is one of the best horror movies that have actually gotten a full theatrical release in the last year or so.

Got this the other day, french import, pretty decent movie, reminded me of Children of men a lot, anyway its region B locked, featuring an at times top notch transfer, audio is DTS-HD MA 5.1, good track but not a bombtastic type of film.

I liked both [rec] and Quarantine, however they may have limited repeat viewing appeal.

The picture quality on Blu is worth the upgrade. Not reference material, but certainly better than the DVD.

Unfortunately, the [REC] Blu is about $50, if you can track it down.

Here's my Quarantine Blu-Ray and Movie itself review:

Video: 4/5
Audio: 4.5/5
Movie Itself: 3.5/5

It's decent for what it was. The original [REC] is much better, but Quarantine is worth seeing, but it's basically a shot for shot remake of [REC] with sometimes even the exact same dialogue and camera angles. But, Jennifer Carpenter is a terrific actress in this and really shows amazing fear throughout. If anything, I recommend renting Quarantine to see if you like it, and then buying [REC] on Blu-Ray from Spain if you can. I bought it from Spain and it was well worth importing, but it's Region B so you'll have to be able to play discs from other regions to play this one, unfortunately. [REC]2 comes out reasonably soon, so I'm excited for that.

I got mine last summer for $35 shipped, brand new...
But THAT'S worth the blind buy, however you have to be careful since it's region B locked.
