Thumbs down Nothing But The Truth for DVD only(NO Blu-ray)

Sony Pictures decided to just release a DVD version on April 28th, but no Blu-ray edition. Beckinsale's second best performance since Snow Angels (also not on Blu-ray). How lame, a Blu-ray version suits both films.

Never heard of it. Is it direct-to-video?

It does seem like this happens more often than it should.

No, it just had a limited release. The film co-stars Matt Dillon and Angela Basset

It's nothing close to a direct-to-video film. It's a Rod Lurie film with a pretty strong cast that got pretty positive reviews for the most part.

Must have been very limited. Box Office Mojo doesn't even have any earnings stats for it.

Bob Yari, the financier and distributor, went bankrupt the week this film was to be released (back in December). He hadn't pre-bought any advertising, leaving the filmmakers in a difficult spot... a film in some theaters with no ads to let anyone know it was out there.

They may still work out a deal with a small distributor to get it back into a few theaters again before the DVD release. Regardless, the film deserves to find an audience as it's pretty good... with some great performances across the board (not just Beckinsale).

Thanks to the OP for bringing this movie up!
