20th Century Fox Stargate: The Ark of Truth (2008)

I'm hearing this was released on Blu-Ray on the 13th. But it's not listed on any UK websites yet. So is it going to get a UK release, and if not, is the American version region free?

Yes, but some region free Blu-Rays I've seen have been listed as Region 1/A. So how can they be region free?

Oh i see. Okay then, thanks.
So back to the other question, does anyone know of a UK release date, since the 13th didn't appear to be worldwide.

But no words of a UK release? I've resorted to emailing MGM myself to sort this out. Can anyone who knows if it will be UK released or not please respond.

I'm willing to venture that's an import though, as £28 seems a lot for a Blu Ray. They usually retail about £17-18.

Yeah, dunno, I'm clueless about that...I'm a Yank. Probably is an import though if it's that much more than average.

Nothing to do with the release regions, but I picked it up from Best Buy two days ago, and there was a sticker on it, "On DVD only". I guess they had too many of the stickers left over from the DVD run.

PlayUSA sell it at £13.99. Be aware though that it is region A only. Since some of there TV Shows had reciently been region free. This was the only one I took a chance on since I could not find any information and well it did not work out so well this time.

Yes it does, but so does also Stargate Continuum and it supports Region B.

So I am interesting in knowing if anyone have been able to play this BD on a Region B BD-player?

I have the US Stargate Continuum Bluray and verified myself it plays on my Region B BD-player.

The Ark of Truth is very much Region A-locked. First thing I got on my Region B player was a notice that the disc was for use in Region A players only.

I can confirm that The Ark of Truth is Region A locked as well unfortunately.

I did hope they had it unlocked like Continuum. I got a region A player imported from the states so the region locking does not affect me.
