Burnout Paradise Legendary Cars Collection problem - Blu-ray Forum

Hey has anyone had a problem with the legendary cars collection?

Bought it from the store, downloaded it and it installed automatically but when i load the game and try to choose one of the cars it tells me i need to buy them. Pressing X brings me to the burnout store where it says the collection is "not available now"....

i deleted the game data, re-installed the game, re-downloaded the collection and still have the same issue.

do i have to shut them down in the game? been driving around for a while now and none of them have appeared.

any help is appreciated, dying to drive the new cars!

I bought them last night directly from their store (they are great). System downloaded and installed them automatically. In the game menu, right before entering the junk yard is the option to select paradise cars, bikes, and now legendary cars.

Did you downloaded the 1.7 update for the game (about 115mb). I believe the update are the cars and you just buy from the store a file to release them (about 100kb) .

yep i'm running the latest version. reinstalled the game today to make sure and still no joy!

the option to selcet the legendary cars is there as you described (along with paradise cars and bikes) but when i try to select a car by pressing X it brings me to the BurnoutStore.

Just to make sure, you are playing the game on the same PSN account that you purchased the cars, right?

yes! in fact, i originally bought it on a different account but then bought it on the account i play burnout with... so i've actually bought it twice! can't use the cars on my other account either. must be something i'm doing wrong.

That could be part of the problem. Games on the PSN are very fragile when it comes to dealing with multiple PSN accounts.

k i've deleted basically everything from both accounts except for the saved data, re-installing the game now and we'll see if it works.... so frustrating! i've emailed psn support too.

The cars work fine for me. Downloaded them last night.

I bought burnout paradise when it first came out tho. So its the disc version not the downloaded version of the game...Dunno if that could be your problem or not.

I have exactly the same problem as laners. Have also emailed PSN support.
But I only have one PSN account. I noticed before I purchased that in the Burnout store the cars were not available yet. Then I went to Playstation Store and purchased the download from there. Went back to the game(yes I have ver 1.7) and I could see the cars in the junkyard but they wanted me to buy them. But when I pressed the buy button (I had already bought them anyway) it said they were not available??? Whats going on?

I thought the cars were a rip off in the first place, but to charge you and then not give you the cars is a bit harsh

did you buy the legendary cars pack from the main PSN store like surferret, or the in-game Burnout store?

ok so as it turns out...

i bought the game recently from cdwow and they sent me the US version (BLUS30061)...

being from ireland, i downloaded the add-on from the UK store so thats why it doesnt work!

im now waiting on customer support to get back to me as they said they'd look into getting me a refund...

i checked on the store and it doesnt mention that you should be using the european game version (BLES******) to download the content as it does for some add-ons, maybe they'll change this.

I wouldn't trust CDWow. I tried to order Singstar volume 3 from them as their website says its in stock, but in actuality it wasn't. I had to contact them to inquire about my order, but they told me it was out of stock.

got a refund for this by the way, which is nice! i had actually purchased it on two accounts and they refunded both so im fairly satisfied with that. just hav to come up with somethin else to buy with the €7.99 on both accounts!

any suggestions??

I ordered American Psycho from them and shortly after received a message saying it was out of stock. It didn't ship for like 8 days.
