Having played Burnout extensively I can say that it is one of the finest arcade type racers I have played (and I have played alot of them) but I played all of the DMC games and judging from the demo this one will be the best. I don't know how long DMC4 will be so if game length is a factor in deciding if a game is worth it then I would wait until someone finds out how long it is. That being said I can safely say Burnout has infinite replay value and the drive around and goof-off factor is awesome, the main game wil easily take you 15+ hours and thats with doing only the main missions and beating them on the first or second try (the game is a little hard). Hope this helps.

if you are looking for a game that will last you a long time, most likely burnout (although cant say for sure cause DMC4 isn't out). theres easily 50+ hours of off-line game time, plus the online play is a blast. if i were you i would buy burnout and start saving up for DMC4, im sure you'll be able to raise $60 before you even come close to finishing the game

If you want a game thats frustratingly difficult to the point where you pull your hair out, get Devil May Cry

DMC4!

DMC4 is NOT difficult. Stop spreading the FUD. The developer went to a great lenght to make sure that this one has proper learning curve.

Just like any other games, it has EASY, normal, hard and very hard mode (DMD)

DMC 1st!
this game is awesome

then you'll get a used burnout for 30-35$
this is a kinda nfs prostreet, driving where you want in the city and starting duels or events at a stop. this is deja vu

DMC is not a new game neither but at least the 1st of the serie next gen!

Dude, seriously, calm down. Its not FUD. Hes not intentionally misinforming anyone.

A lot of us assume it will be insanely hard since all the other DMC games were. If hes wrong, correct him, but dont accuse him of spreading FUD

Both games are on complete opposite ends of the spectrum. It really depends on whether you prefer a racing game or a hack-and-slasher. I, personally, would prefer DMC4 over Burnout Paradise. I have never been a racing game fan.

Burnout is in NO WAY WHATSOEVER like Pro Street aside from the fact that both games are about cars. Believe me, I had the misfortune of owning pro-street but traded it in for Burnout and Im incredibly happy about having a much better game.

Pro street is all about racing tuned cars on actual RACE TRACKS, and damage is an unwanted consequence of poor driving. You buy parts and tune your cars for specific race events.

Burnout is about driving in a CITY environment and you're ENCOURAGED to crash into your opponents. You dont buy/tune any cars directly. You get new cars by wrecking them and then picking them up at a junk yard.

By the time you beat DMC4 most people wont even be done with Burnout so there wont be any "used copies for $30-35"

Cool

Crap!!!!

TUROK is supposed to be out on the 5th too. Should be a choice between that or DMC4. Eventually I'd get both and skip Burnout until I can buy it for $15

I... i hated the DMC4 demo. the graphics were pure crap.
looked like it was developed for the 360/ not shure if it was.

Diddnt like burnout either to be honest. Ive been a HUGE fan of the burnout games since burnout 2 was released. yes, burnout 2... not 3.

i just found paradise was... it wasnt... wasnt the same? I dunno.

Id say buy Uncharted if you dont already have it.

Of course playing sensation and gameplay are totally different! crash in the bills, crash on other cars, freakin speedy course... pro street is not the 1/4 of BP I agree with you. BUT, I still think it is a kinda pro street "on the basis" : run in the street freely and do whatsoever.
