Burnout Paradise: Buy? - Blu-ray Forum

I am a huge fan of Burnout 3: Takedown and just beat the game, so i am going to pick it up Burnout: Paradise today for the PS3 is it worth the money?...I deicided to buy it cuz of all the good reveiws

I have Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box for PC, and it is awesome! I don't generally play too many driving games but this one is just so much fun, I've never played another Burnout game so I can't really compare it, but this one is definitely worth the money!

I just picked it up for 19.9 from Best Buy. I'm having fun. I can't sit down for hours and play it though cause it gets too repetitive, but it still is a lot of fun to throw 30 mins or an hour into here and there.

i spent 80 hours on this game since it came out last year. still more stuff to do with the game.

It is a lot of fun, my only gripe is actually the city. When the cars get faster and the races get harder the open ended city just gets overwhelming. You have to keep pausing in the middle of a race to see where the finish line is and what the best route to take is and it takes you out of the action. It was also a pain when you would lose an event then have to drive ALL the way back to the start, luckily the new update took care of that and it really does make a world of difference. I hadn't played in a couple months but that aspect has me hooked again. For 20 bucks though there's really no reason to not own this game

Worth every penny, I just cant believe they arent adding more to the map though, gets kinda old if you over play it, fun lasts for a month.

What do you mean? Which update? That 9.99 Party pack? Is that worth buying?

I downloaded the pack and game from PSN. I like it... I can seriously drive around for an hour and have fun the entire time even without doing the races.

Nope it was just the regular required update that added this option. The 9.99 party pack is just for offline play.

Burnout 3 was my favorite too - 1 of the best racing games ever. Personally I don't like the "open world" gameplay of Burnout Paradise - it's impossible to memorize the whole city yet that's basically what you have to do in order to be any good in the game. Personally I need more structure in my games.

how do your start the race over? ive had this game since early 08 and ive updated it. and i still get no option to restart a event if i lose it.

Just press right on the D-pad and it will bring up the option to restart the race.
