Who cares?

to the original poster those movies you mentioned are all warner bros. and secondly they are not permanent exclusive warner is waiting for the finalized spec to release them. They have made these statements numerous times.

The cheapest player on the market now the 179.99 xbox add on. there was an offer of you buy one HDDVD player and you get 100 back mail in rebate. the cheapest toshiba that i have seen 199.99. that makes the player about a hundred bucks. but then again that is not the argument. 90 bucks for a show is alot. i understand some are will to buy it, and some will not.

and honestly, the gap between the sales of BD VS. HD is growing bigger and bigger in favor of bluray, with studio support differences also is affecting the consumer's decision. universal would have had the chance if speilberg allowed them to release his movies on HD DVD. I would say this holiday season or the begining 2008 will be the end for HD DUD.

I know that. i never said it stays exclusive on hddvd. i am merely showing what is supposed to be an advantage that HDDVD had but it didn't do them well.

I was wondering if a fanboy, would be willing to pull that off, what do you think. sales are crappy for HDDVD. no matter how much exclusivity they pulled off nothing seems to work, like Universal being exclusive, or Warner's the Matrix, Batman begins, V for Vendetta, and god the list keeps on going and going like an energizer bunny. yet still BD stands strong in the format war. Actually even better, victory is knocking on the door begining of october 30th with spidey's release. what's left to do. EXACTLY NOTHING ELSE. yet they keep trying. check this out, and don't laugh. because you might hurt a fanboy's feeling. Now they will be releasing another overpriced tv show. a six pack HDDUD THAT IS ACTUALLY COST AS MUCH AS THEIR PLAYERS COST.

About 5:1 for North America (1.5 million to 300K). But, a recent survey says 40% of Playstation 3 owners don't even know they own a Blu-ray movie disc player.

It's not rational to expect 100% usage from the PS/3. So, why do people insist on counting 100% of the PS/3 when determining how well things are going?

I still remembered the day couple years ago when I threw my Sony Betamax machine into the dumpster. History repeats itself sometimes. But this time around, Toshiba will play Sony's role in the Beta-VHS war. Sad but unavoidable.

Millions of HD DVDs will end up at a landfill somewhere in Mexico along with 2 million unsold copies of E.T. for Atari 2600.

I know some of you guys have both formats, but support bluray, what do you think you will be doing to your HD movies. I only have 4 movies that are HDDVD the rest are blurays, i am planning to hold on to them, store them somewhere maybe.
