"Watch the seeds of Anakin Skywalker's transformation take root". Geez, who wrote these taglines? They're truly awful.

But Yoda's light sabar fight is the best part in the whole SW EPS!

I wonder if Hayden's acting will be any better in 4K?

It's one of my least favorite things. He should have been a super wizard, so powerful with the force he doesn't need a laser sword.

You're not the person to ultimately decide who Yoda should be.

Yeah, I always thought it was weird that Yoda had one, but what I thought was worse was giving Palpatine one in Revenge of the Sith. Palpatine jumping around with a lightsaber just seemed wrong, and did we really need to see Palpatine and Yoda in a lightsaber duel? There wasn't enough lightsaber fight scenes in the movie by that point? He could have made a more interesting scene pitting light and dark force powers against each other.

In fairness, in both cases Palpy treats it like a last resort. He really doesn't wanna fight.

I think Yoda looks far more ridiculous as a saber-fighter than Palpatine, simply because of his stature and shape. For all of the "Judge me by my size, will you?" jokes that one could make, he really does look absurd hopping around like a big frog from rock to rock, and Dooku reaching his saber down toward him is just weird -- as if he were fencing with a dwarf.

At least Palpatine is human-sized, so having him fight with a sword against other humanoids doesn't look outright silly, as it does with Yoda.

But I agree that the movies should have invented yet another form of combat between masters at the Yoda/Palpatine level, perhaps something even more unique and creative than trading off lightning blasts, since lightning had already been established as a "power," in earlier films.

I just feel like he shouldn't even have one, similar to Yoda. Like a lightsaber should be beneath him. Even the way he regards Luke's lightsaber in Return of the Jedi kind of feels like he doesn't think much of it.

But to be fair to the scene, they do give up the lightsaber fight and Palpatine ends up winning the fight by literally dismantling the Senate. I did like that part.

To be honest, that scene in Clones was silly, but I remember thinking that the movie was so dull up to that point, it seemed like a bright spot towards the end because everyone was wondering how the hell Yoda was going to be in a lightsaber fight, and it was pretty entertaining to watch. Kind of a moment where you were laughing at the absurdity but clapping, too. And I thought Yoda was pretty badass for the most part in Revenge of the Sith (ain't no Order 66 sneaking up on Yoda!)

On a side note, in that Dooku/Yoda fight scene in the film-print version, I remember when Yoda walks in, Dooku reacts a lot more bemused, like an "oh, Master Yoda!" kind of way. On the digital/all home video versions, it's a different take where he says "Master Yoda..." with much more gravitas. Does anybody else remember that, or is my memory playing tricks on me?

Yeah, all the fans are supposed to write Disney and Disney is supposed to cave to all their demands.

Those covers can't be final. They look dreadful. But it's Disney, so what would one expect...

If I decide to upgrade, I'll just put the discs into my existing SW Saga collection.
