Here's my set up, which is in a finished basement.

The gear:

Blu-Ray: Sony BDP-S550
DVR: Sony DHG-HDD250 (with Comcast CableCard)
Speakers: Infinity TSS 1100 System

Everything is in a Middle Atlantic rack that rolls into the wall and is accessible from the rear.

Yeah, the built-in shelves and components were key. As was the mini refrigerator, which is that black box beneath the Hitchcock poster.

I was about to ask what that black thing was under the poster. Haha...check out my bedroom setup...i've got mini fridge under my desk next to the bed. Mini fridge (or full fridge) in HT setups is the only way to go.

Very clean and nice basement set up. I too like the way you showcased your components within the wall. That is one hec of a disc collection too! By the way, is your Infinity TSS 1100 System 5.1? I do not see any surrounds? If so, where the hec are they? Regardless, I like your set up very much!

Surrounds are in the ceiling. They are Infinitys but not the same series. The resolution of these photos is so low due to the space limits, but I think you can see them above the sofa.

Thanks. Don't recall the exact name of the color, but it came from Home Depot. A few more pictures.

I really like how the shelfs are built into the walls. We finished our basement about 6 years ago and now when I look back I really wish I would of added inwall shelving. I think to put them in now would be such a pain.

Awesome room by the way.

Thanks. Each shelf is about 34 inches and holds approximately 55 DVDs. There are 16 shelves, so that's storage for about 900 DVDs. Of course, as I transition to Blu-Ray, I'll be able to fit more of them, as they are thinner. Right now, all of the Blu-Rays are on the shelves above the TV.

I had forgotten that I posted a picture here a while back, before the built-in was done for the hardware. So here's a "before" picture:
