Blockbuster Online-No Slumdog Blu?

This morning I added Slumdog Millionaire to my Blockbuster Online queue and the only version it was available in was DVD. What is the deal with that? I've had this happen before with some other fairly big movies but this movie won Best Picture. Hopefully my local store will have the Blu-ray and I can do an in-store exchange. I haven't been happy with Blockbuster Online but I'm not going to pay the increased fees for Netflix. I wish Redbox would get Blu-ray at all their locations and I could just get rid of these online services.

Seems weird but I've seen this with Netflix with some hot releases. Try calling or send email.

I know local Best Buy stores have it in stock and so does the BV stores, both for sale and rental.

Be prepared to wait a LONG TIME for it too once they do get it on blu-ray.

Maybe not. I received the DVD today and B Video has been sending me the BD new releases the week they come out.

I think they hold off buying it since it's more expensive when it just releases.

What's worse is that sometimes Netflix carries only some of the volumes/seasons of a television series (on DVD). And it's not because it's out of print (it's not). For ex. Superman the animated series ... netflix is missing volume 2.
