As I'm sure someone on here has said by now, hearing HD sound is dependent on more than just your settings. You have to have good speakers, the right receiver, etc. etc. etc.
So if you can't hear the difference, be glad that you will never be tormented by the lower quality sound of DVD. I can not watch TV without seeing tons of video errors, especially on SD channels... and this is the curse of HD. |

Certainly not. At least not specifically. The "night and day" phrase is just something I see on here (and other forums) a LOT and exaggerates the point by implying a dramatic difference between whatever two options are being discussed.
