This would also seem like the ideal set for multiple releases (across various countries), which Warner is known for and it could happen for the theatrical release or the EE
![]() ![]() This is one set I was hoping to get in it's original title in English though, but what are you going to do (nothing against other languages by the way, but I was hoping this would come out the same way that DK did....) ![]() |

I'll probably pick these up. I'm willing to bet when the EE's get released, there will be a Steelbook somewhere, and if the threatrical cut is not included, then I'll keep both versions (especially if the artwork is different). If the EE has the theatrical cut included, and the artwork is similar or better than the theatrical steelbooks, then I'll probably consider just selling off or trading the threatricals later.
As for reselling them, there are collectors out there that collect SteelBooks in all kinds of ways, so I'm sure someone will be wanting them, even if there are EE Steelbooks out later. The LOTR films have enough of a fan base that selling off theatrical or EE steelbooks will be easy enough, IMO. If the EE's somehow don't get the SteelBook treatment, then that'll make the theatrical steelbooks more desireable to many collectors out there. I also like seeing both versions of the films for different reasons. If they do these like Hancock and release them again after they have initially sold out of them, that'll be even better 'cos then they'd still be obtainable for those that missed out during the first wave. |

Believe me, boycotting has never solved anything. Especially against Warner, they've got so much money that they won't care if 20 people don't buy their products. Only Amazon.de will feel it as they first buy them off Warner and then sell them. Warner's sold their copies, they don't care.
