How much do you think Star Trek will make it's opening weekend? And do you plan on seeing it?

i think the average movie goer sees star trek as too nerdy, so i don't think it puts up wolverine type numbers. but i'm seeing this opening weekend

i'll throw out 65-75

I actually think hype and curiosity will blow this movie up a LOT, especially since a lot of Trekkies will give in and see it. I see a $90-100 million opening weekend for this movie and then like Wolverine, a huge drop-off the second week.

Go for it, and bring all of your family and friends.

110 Million. This will be the beginning of a series of Star Trek movies released in this time frame. Looking forward to it/them and I think these films will kick ass big time!

With all the people in spock ears wearing light blue and removing themselves from their parents basements and protesting... about 5 bucks.

I think it makes over $100 million. I'm not even a Star Trek fan really and I plan on seeing it.

It will be interesting to see what the analysts say later this week when they comment on the buzz. I voted over $90 million. I think this could go either way on opening weekend. From what I've read the movie is phenomenal so I anticipate word of mouth to be great and it to have legs.

Well judging by early reviews, the movie sounds incredible and it will do really well but I doubt it will open as big as Wolverine.

My prediction is 60 - 70 million.
