Doesn't get much worse than this.

Anyone who's been to this forum won't be surprised by who wrote it, but honest to God...this is truly beyond words in terms of sad and pathetic.

What's even worse is: Some people are actually sad and pathetic enough to believe this fool.

What DRUGS does he take and what PLANET does he live on?

I can't stop laughing at the people over at AVS my favorite is the "I bought the A1 because its a one of a kind product so of course i'll buy the ax2" Good choice way to buy the ax2 at a grand from toshiba makers of fine audio video equipment.

I just had to show it to some of you because it's so outrageous and ridiculous, I don't think you would have believed me unless you could have seen it for yourselves.

I'm not sure what's worse: That tool...or the people in that thread that actually BELIEVE him.

What the real message there is is simple: There is NO news for HD-DVD. There's nothing forthcoming except a couple of more crappy (and overpriced) Toshiba players. Same tepid studio supprt. Same non CE prescence. Same everything.

Meanwhile the BD news and momentum keeps coming out left and right.

These guys know in their heart the clock is ticking. This is sheer, manic desperation at its rankest level.

Oh my Lord! That guy is a piece of work. Anytime a BD supporter said that the Sammy was just a 1G player and that things would get a lot better the HD DVD lunatics would chime in and say that the A1 is a high quality machine and that Toshiba got it right from the getgo. Now suddenly it's okay to admit that even the almighty A1 is beta material? O-kay.

After all this would be the first HD DVD player that wasn't a modified laptop.

Now just maybe they'll get those boot and load times below 90 seconds

Hey, wait everybody I think, they may have something here. Toshiba is finnally getting on the right track with there product. How you ask? Incorperating the #2 in to products. Why is this? Well I think someone should post this on avsform because this answer is the aswer to all hd right here. When I am on the toilet reading a number dropping a #2 I look down and all I can think of is the wonder Toshiba HD A1 I had. Matter to fact I think the new add for the new toshiba HD a2 should read, "When your pinching a grumpy, think toshiba hd A2. The $1000 crap in box." and they should include a free roll of toilet papper for when you crap your self when it actually works. That's right folks #2 fits Toshiba perfect. Crap in every way. Hey at least I didn't drop the s-bomb here.

I should have known between the Skipping, freezing, lip sync, blank screen, hdmi errors, anolog hum, static popping, both players asking which version of the movie I wanted to play....HD or sd on non hybrid and sd dvd discs,
the players flashing "opening" for 10 minutes at a time.....and the players themselves freezing up ect.....but this confirms it....both my HD-A1 and current RCA are beta players.

Without this fine posters announcement....I never would have figured it out.
I guess I had better order the 1k version thats ready for prime time quick

Actually, I don't believe a word of it. Toshiba got it wrong and are hastily releasing a replacement, simple as that. These blinkered morons can spin it all they want.
