Unhappy HDCP problem with new Samsung HDTV - Fixed :)

Hi all,

I recently bought a 32" Samsung Series 6 HDTV (LA32A650A) and have been using it as a TV as well as a monitor for my PC. I got a new Pioneer BluRay SATA drive yesterday for my PC and have been facing a problem when trying to play a BD movie using the PC.

Whenever I try playing ANY BD movie, it says "HDCP not supported, use component connections".

I'm using a 3.2Ghz Core2Duo, 4GB RAM, MSI N9800GT 512-OC display card. Cyberlink's BD player and the latest nvidia control panel both state that the TV is connected but is a 'Digital, non HDCP'. the connection wire between the Display card and HDTV is as follows:

Display Card=>DVI to HDMI adaptor=>HDMI-HDMI cable=>HDTV

I checked a LOT of forums but wasn't able to pinpoint the problem ... Can someone help me with getting this thing working please?

Thanks

Try getting a HDMI-DVI cable. That MAY be the solution you need. The cable is not expensive at Monoprice.com.

Thanks fuad... I already got one yesterday and it worked. It seems HDCP acts up if there is a break in the link connecting the player to the TV.

Here's what worked:
Display Card=>DVI-HDMI cable=>HDTV.
