We sure could. In fact, we'd be happy to oblige. What you'll hear here is that you will ultimately be more satisfied if you piece your system together. That is, rather than running out today and buying a HTiB or a receiver and budget speakers to save until you can get the quality stuff you'd like to have. Especially with that TV.

Other things to consider are your room set-up as far as actual space...you thinking 5.1, 7.1, 7.2, etc. I'd start with a receiver and then add the front stage (L, R, and center) as your finances permit. Go to stores and audition their speakers. Find which ones sound good to you.

The moral is that you don't to go drop a stack on an "awesome" HTiB and then find out later you wish you could have put that money into a higher quality speaker. On the other hand, if all you want is an HTiB, then that is certainly your choice.

thanks jaydoc24 - I'll try to go to the stores and try out the speakers first.
My room is not big enough so I was thinking on 5.1 speakers system.

My first setup consisted of a receiver and a small 5.1 speaker set (Polk RM6750). It took me less than 6 months before I upgraded to what I have now. The lesson: Save yourself $250 and just skip the satellite speaker set. Buy a solid receiver (Onkyo TX-SR607, Yamaha, Denon, Pioneer) and individual speakers.

You can spend thousands on speakers. I suggest you start off with something similar to what I have now. Newegg.com has had some killer deals on the Polk Monitor 60 fronts ($300/pair) and Monitor 30 rears ($100/pair). The Polk CS1 ($80) and CS2 ($150)are good center channel speakers. As far as the sub goes, the Elemental Design 12" is a pretty popular choice. It's something like $350.

Get your cables/connectors at Monoprice or Blue Jeans.

Of this receivers which one you guys recommend the best? I have a Yamaha right now but it's very old. No HDMI input.

I really like my Onkyo 606 and I would buy it all over again. I have owned nothing else, but I've seen favorable reviews here of all those other brands. I've heard Denons are nice, but can be a bit difficult to set up and always seem to cost a bit more. I like the amber color of the Pioneers and Yamahas, so I might consider one of those when it comes time to upgrade.

You'll see a lot of brand loyalty here, but you can rest assured they're all good brands. Just settle on your must-have features and make a list of those receivers that have them. Then read a bunch of reviews and factor in the cost before you make your final decision. It worked for me.

All I can say is do your research! There is some other forums that will offer much better knowlege in this arena. If I may check out avsforum.com . Awesome site with a weath of information. And if you are going to stores like best buy to audition speakers, your selection is going to suck. Shop around and find other stores that may have other brands that are usually better than your run of the mill Klipsch or Polk.

Just A thought to keep in mind !
If you buy A receiver & fronts & center you can do better to start . Then down the road buy you're surrounds then you're surround rears !
Doing it right the first time will save you from having to upgrade untill you are happy with the sound system !!
