Special edition Pearl Harbor - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone know if and when the special edition of Pearl Harbor will be released. I own the DVD and won't buy the Blu until.its released. Any info would be appreciated.

If you're waiting for something magical, you might as well wait for the uber super duper nifty titanium edition that's about 3 releases away following the normal studio attempt at double and triple dipping of bare bones release, special edition, definitive edition, titanium edition with 21 seconds of added footage!!!...you get the point.

The special edition of the theatrical version was released on Blu-Ray Disc. Are you talking about the Vista Series DVD being ported to BD?

Pearl Harbor's a great film, but I definitely prefer the director's cut. The attack on Pearl Harbor hits you a lot harder when you see the blood and guts, it adds a whole new aspect of realism to the already excellent film. I can't wait for the director's cut to be released on Blu-ray. I'll be adding it to my Blu-ray library for sure.

Yeah, I love the film too. The director's cut was definitely harder though. The attack scene nearly bought me to tears it was so much more moving and harsher.

Hmm Tora, Tora Tora...much better without the stupid love triangle.

Yes it was the Vista series. Agree love triangle terrible but battle scenes are jaw dropping especially on Vista.

What do you mean? Both Pearl Harbor and Tora! Tora! Tora! have both been released on BD.

Not the director's cut. And not the 4 discs of extras.

Does the Director's cut include extended battle sequences? When I watch the film I just skip past the first hour or so of the Jerry Springer episode and go right into the historical parts. I got the German steelbook for less than $15 brand new BTW.

Not much difference other than a few different lines and some added blood/gore. I usually turn to Tora! Tora! Tora! since it is actually historically accurate.
