Apparently it is missing a lot of functions though. Think of it as half the bluetooth remote. No eject button. No PS button. I don't believe it can even jump to the menu or popup menu.

It doesnt appear to have all of the buttons. Flashy, but I agree; I'll make a movie night instead

if the ps3 remote from sony were back-lit it would be near-perfect.

since i have a universal remote for everything else, the separate ps3 remote doesn't bother me *too* much.

nothing will be a sale unless they can make the ps button work (and eject for what it's worth).

that being said, we can't be far off from 3rd party universal remotes that have bluetooth and ir in them.

Bluetooth remotes have spoiled me. Or rather, the PS3 bluetooth remote has spoiled me. I want nothing to do with IR anymore. I do want the PS3 remote to get tweaked however so only ONE button turns the damn thing on. But beyond that, it's a thing of beauty for being on the treadmill, across the room at the desk or other activities while working about the office.

Or when the family dog parks in front of the PS3 and stares at you while you are using the remote. Blutooth? No problem. Infrared? Time to yell at dog who responds by not budging.

I wish the BluRay remote by Sony had a power button on it, and some kind of lighting. I don't really care about the size.

The fact that this new one is rechargeable is impressive to me, though..I've never understood why the current Sony one takes batteries, even though none of the controllers do..would it have been that difficult to give it a USB port? I hate batteries Especially since the Wii remotes go through an absurd amount of them.

This is old news. Someone has already posted something about this almost 2 weeks ago. I guess reason it's here again is because Crave did a little story on it.

I will stick to the PS3 Bluetooth remote. Most third party peripherals are crap. It does have a power button, just press either the enter button or the PS button below it. This remote is all I need. I just can't understand what the Red, Green, Blue and Yellow buttons do on the remote.

you know, not everyone knows that - I dont see every post that comes through here - plus, should we search for everything we see b4 we post, and how would I search for it? messiah remote? or 5 million other ways b4 we post? sorry to ramble, but these little comments about this has been posted already are really annoying. Get over it! OKAY back to being brothers in Blu.

The colored buttons will be part of the interactive features in future updates. For example, changing to PiP mode, sizes, transparency, etc.
