Default Exorcist: The Version You've Never Seen on Blu-ray delayed

Per Digital Bits

I have very mixed feelings. I'm happy were getting a classic on BD real soon. I would have loved to see an ultimate edition instead.

I own this on DVD, although i will admit that i have never seen the orginal version, only "this version that we've never seen". I wish there was an ultimate edition with both versions and some good extras

which by the way you think they could rename this bluray to something like "The version you saw a few years ago" or something

There's no reason why they can't use seamless branching to have both versions.

But, I prefer the extended version, so I'll be getting it.

I do enjoy the movie, but I have the original 3 and the two prequels on DVD and I can't remember the last time I watched them.. It doesn't matter if I have them on DVD, my issue is if it has been a long time since I have used the DVD then I will not get much use out of the Blu ray version. pass for me.

Most of the extended cut works for me, except for the ending whic was cut by sensible people for sensible reasons. Also unneccessary are the digital CGI inserts of the demon appearing inside of walls and what not. So count me in as one who wants the original cut, but likes a lot of the restored Merrin/Karras scenes in this cut.

I bought both the original cut & extended on DVD for like $8 each a while back, & still haven't watched them... Great film though, but I've only seen the theatrical (only in fullscreen on vhs & laserdisc).

This upcoming blu-ray should include both cuts damnsit! A digibook would be nice too. Since Warner did release the film as a 'Two-Disc Special Edition' exclusive to the large Exorcist box set, you think there'd be no other way to release it now...

I cant believe Friedken is actually ok with this! He hated the version you've never seen..that was Blatty's baby. When they said Friedken was involved I thought we would be getting the original version. Sorry but the version you've never seen with the 'HAPPY" ending SUCKS! No original version - NO SALE

I only want the theatrical cut, so if it's not included, I probably won't buy this.

I'd like the original also. I'll hold off on this one. My dvd copy barely gets an attention. Probably because the movie is just too daggone freaky..
