Hey red, is there something wrong with the speakers you have? Just curious as to why you want/need new ones. Is is just to upgrade (for whatever reason) or you've just got a lot of money burning a hole in your pocket? believe me if it is, i know about the hole burning issue all too well! I'll vote after I hear from you.

Well as i said before im a big HT and music fanatic. So im torn between what i really want. If i end up with something like the Paradigm Signatures then i will start a separate 2-channel system.

The weak link in my current setup is the center IMO. Not that its bad, i just know there are better center channels on the market.

Is it a matter of me having money burning a hole in my pocket? I dont really think so because in reality it would not cost me "that much" to go with something higher up like the Sigs or Baby Grands because of my dealer pricing.

Like i said im really into this hobby so i like to try out new things all the time. I'm young so why do i "need" to have one speaker for years to come? Why not diversify myself is how i personally feel.

So why do i want to "upgrade"? Well i know the speakers i have are fantastic, but thats not the point. I had a gentleman come in last week wanting to upgrade from B&W 802D's to 800D's. Many would ask themselves why would he upgrade? He already has fantastic speakers...Well its because there is something better out there, whether that be a minimal upgrade or a huge upgrade. It's about the chase

That size is perfect for any large floor standers, even the Focal Utopias But are you moving out after a year and getting a bigger space.

Why not just get a better center channel for now, wait for a few months and start a 2 channel rig That way you get the best of both worlds.

Except when you are currently in an apartment

and I would get a better center channel....if Vienna Acoustics offered a better one...And why would i start a separate 2-channel rig when i actually like the VA's for music?

Does VA not offer a matching centre channel? Or at least the suggestion thereof?

I have also toyed around with the idea of getting some XPA-1's for my current setup.... for the current deal they are its hard to pass up if i decide to just keep the Viennas.

You sound like me! I've given away a Denon Receiver, DBX power amps, Infinity RS6 Kappas, DCM's, Klipsch, Polks, 15 inch Subs - ect. Giving truly feels better than getting especially when you educate and help bring someone up to a level that they have never known before !!!

I got to listen to the Signatures tonight.

Goodness were they buttery smoothe. I was actually half expecting them to be bright, but they were nowhere close. The midrange was quite excellent. I'm pretty impressed with them at the moment. I'll have to give them another listen so i get that "new car smell" out of my mindset lol.

But anyway these were leaps and bounds better than the Studio series Paradigms.

It was an old Pioneer that I had purchased in 1991. The colors were pretty much shifted and it was not worth repairing it. The gardner was more than happy to put it on the back of his truck and take it to his family.

Yeah, I am not sure where anyone was getting bright with these speakers?

Was the setup the same?

I know Quite honestly, I never really thought the studios were exceptional but the Signatures are on different plateau.

Yup it was the same. Although in 2 weeks they will be complately changing it to another wall and will be using multiple McIntosh amps in a bi-amp configuration (overkill...yes)

There was one spot in the room that was playing tricks with my mind because of massive reflections due to glass in the back, but we gave that a quick fix by putting some blankets over the glass.

I really enjoyed those speakers though, freeeeeakin smoooooooothe
