Default Oppo vs Samsung p3600 and Pioneer 05fd!!!

I will pull the trigger soon on The Oppo but have a questions about it. Will it read Movies I have stored on A external hard drive, and How does it compare to the Samsung p3600 and a Pioneer 05fd? I know the Pioneer does not have a Ethernet port on the back for BD Live. But I work @ Best Buy and I could get that Player for $450. And I also have a Pioneer Pro 111fd Plasma. The oppo sound good to me but then having a ELite Blu Ray player to go with my TV sound good to me too. And what about the samsung 3600?
HELP before I do something Stupid on this purchase! I already have a samsung 3600 and a 500gb PS3! And I have them both up for sale on ebay......

This page will anser most or all of your question
http://watershade.net/wmcclain/BDP-8...y-other-player

Oppo play decent amount of media file but biggest drawback is the fat32 (4gb per file limit) it play mkv etc.. but subtitle font is a big small.

You might be saving $ just get a samsung 3600 and western digital HD media player (read almost any media file and no size limit) has hdmi port.

However i got Oppo because it can also play region dvd and blu-ray (with freehack) beware newer oppo might shipped the new version which the hack won't work.

Oh yea...I'd go with the Oppo. I'm considering selling my samsung 4600 to get it.

They've said that they may look into it, but at present there is no support and no promise of it being added later.
