Default Onkyo 607 Issues

So I picked up the 607 today, im super excited to use it.
I disconnect my old JVC and hook up the new Onkyo got all my hdmi connection hooked up, then I hook up my old KOSS speakers and I can't get any audio.

Maybe my speakers are too old?? Are my connection wrong? settings?

any help

do you get any sound at all? what do you have connected to the onkyo? do you get any sound from anything that is connected to it? did you do the initial "first time use" setup that includes speaker setup and other setup features? You should, that would be the first step to determining what is wrong. Was the Onkyo new or used? did it light up/turn on to indicate it was getting power? and did everything you have connected into it work before?

trying to help!

Could it be my TV? I have an XBR6.

I went a head and re-setup my old receiver still didnt work with old receiver.
I was messing with the Sound setting on my TV. I have the option of "TV Speakers" and "Audio System" as soon as I set it to aduio system I get no audio

edit///

OK, so after further testing I had my speakers wired up for bi-amp.
thanks for the help solarrdadd, it help me to do extra troubleshoot

could be many things. are you getting any sound through headphones. Maybe you dont have the setup done correctly. Sounds like you just opened it and hooked it up with HDMI and expected sound right away. It doesnt work that way. There are things on your receiver that needs to be setup in order to make it work.
