My copy is in the mail as we speak.

It's coming from Amazon's Delaware warehouse, so it should be here today or tomorrow.

If nobody beats me to it, I'll fill you in as soon as I watch a couple of episodes.

What a great show. I had to fight myself to not download the episodes from the playstation network.

Show is good but I am waiting a while before getting this, just too much stuff happening right now. It might drop a bit and make me bite

I'm also considering picking this up in the DD 25% discount sale, but first I'd like to read some reviews on the blu-ray and/or hear from other users that have the set ...

I had a Best Buy gift card burning a hole in my pocket, so I blind bought this yesterday (was hoping review was up on this site by release date). This was a show that I forgot to watch/tivo when it was first on. Once I miss the first few episodes like that, I never watch the rest of the season.
And since it was re-newed for next season, I took my chances. Plan on watching a few episodes tonight. Hope it's good. I'll have my thoughts tomorrow.....

I was thinking about blind-buying this, but after watching the trailer the premise looks kind of silly. I'll give it a chance and watch a few episodes on IMDB, though I heard it's very mediocre.

Yeah, the price wasn't right to blind buy this. Too much other good stuff on the horizon, but that doesn't mean I won't get it someday.

I blind bought this based on the month of August as well...
Only have 2 Blu-rays that I will be buying (Hanna Montanna & Escape to Witch Mountain) and they are actually for the nephews and nieces that visit (and my daughter but she is only 1).
It's a great month to catch up on some extra blu-ray cash. September seems a lot better (or worse $$).

Just wanted to clarify the blind buy on this one.

I got mine today from Amazon as well, but haven't gotten a chance to watch any of the episodes on Blu-Ray yet.

As far as blind buying, the series does get quite a bit better starting with Episode 6.

Australia Definitely Worth Getting

Have watched the 1st 3 eps - it gets progressively better each ep. In fact liked it so much I bought the BD from Amazon US which was shipped to me last Monday - so shld arrive in another week or so - takes a while to get to OZ (even though it is downhill!) You start to see Whedon's quirkiness creeping ep by ep (I loved Firefly/Serenity - got them on BD as well).

I've only watched the first disc so far, but I'm VERY impressed with the PQ. As previously mentioned, for those who didn't catch it on TV last season, the show gets (much) better after the first few episodes.

I'm thinking of picking up eather Dollhouse or True Blood (both season 1) and they would both be a blind buy. Your feedback is very helpful to me, guys!

Watched the first 3 episodes last night....
The series starts a bit slow while establishing characters and the story but starts to pick up each episode.
The PQ is pretty damn good too. Don't remember the show looking that good when it was actually on.
Relieved, seeing how I blind bought this one....
Oh yeah, it has Eliza Dushku in it
