I remember when I was watching Spider-Man 3 at Imax and this guy behind me was talking throughout the whole movie saying what was going to happen next. Ugh if my seat were just a little more closer to him I may even needed to hit him in the face to shut up. The whole movie I was thinking to myself It's great and all that you are a such a big fan of the movie and probably watched it a gazillion times but stop ruining it for the people who want to watch the movie who never seen it before.

Also when I watched the Death Note movies when L made his 1st appearance all of the fangirls were screaming.

You really should watch the OG trilogy again. The acting really isn't great either. Pretty corny at times. I think they fit together okay.

1. Empire Strikes Back
2. A New Hope
3. Revenge Of The Sith
4. Return Of The Jedi
5. Attack Of The Clones
6. The Phantom Menace

That's how they rate IMHO.

I wouldn't say I dislike it because of the fans but I have a Scarface poster I've contemplated taking down ever since the hip hop scene latched onto that one. I can't believe no one has mentioned that one yet.

That's a good one. I like Scarface although I feel it's a bit overrated. However, it's popularity in the hip hop scene is rather annoying.

For this year.... Transformers 2. Never liked it as a kid, seen both of the movies. To me it's just....

I'll have the same feeling () with GI Joe this weekend.

I hate nothing because of fans, everyone IMO is allowed to like or dislike what they wish. Won't stop me from liking a movie if others find it boring.

I love all 6 movies of Star Wars, I love Star Wars period, it's fun to watch and read. Been a fan since I was 9 and I will be a fan till I die. I get comments from people all the time like "grow up!", "there stupid movies!", "you are a moron!".

In the end enjoy what you like and let others enjoy what they like, plus some people just will hate everything they see or hear, be it music or movie as soon as it's popular, they seem to think it's going to make them cool and they will automaticly try to bring down those who love it with name calling.

It's the Internet, I don't mind having a good conversation about movies, it's fun. There is one member in particular I enjoy talking the good and bad of movies on this site. No need to resort to name calling and act like 5 years old. You respect and listen to the opinion of the other and you might also discover new things you never tought you might like. That is how we learn and grow.

I'm all for diversity of opinion, but I've noticed that some folks get their feathers in a ruffle when I tell them that I think Transformers 2 was a hideous waste of time.

The common retorts:
1. It's a popcorn action movie. You have to turn my brain off. (The only brain turning off I did was paying the $14 to see it. If I wanted to turn my brain off, I'd get a lobotomy.)

2. It about robots beating the crap out of each other, what did you expect? (An hour's worth of less talking, the big massive transformer actually being scary and not a metal pyramid climber that only falls down later, no testicular innuendo in my face, no crude racial stereotypes, bad guys that aren't douchebags.)

The fanboys don't bother me. I'm a geek and I get it. Those who praise crassness as art do irritate me.

Like everything else in life, extremes(whatever direction they are taken in) are bad and some fans simply take it too far.

I don't let the fans dictate if I like a movie or not. They don't make me hate a film. They just make me dislike them a bit more.

You wanna be a Trekkie, SW fan, Twilight fan or whatever that's fine. I sure consider myself a fan of many things, but I don't let it run my life.

However, what I consider even more annoying is the fans that kick and scream when things in their little universe don't go the way THEY want. (i.e. xxxx raped my childhood, they did/did not add this/that into the film adaptation so they ruined it and it sucks etc.) Again, have an opinion about it but it is not the end of the world. Life goes on.

Like certain members that we won't name

I understand you, heck I love Star Wars and yes I can be blind to the faults it as, I know this but to go around and claim your entire life as been ruined because a business man as made changes or made new movies that you don't like, well that requires a little bit of medical help I think.

Yeah I know right? If it was about big robots blowing stuff up, there should have been an hour and a half less plot. Face it guys. It was trying to be a movie too.

My main one is TDK. People go apeshit over it when I say I found it less entertaining than iron man.

hehe I did also, TDK was ok but I did prefer Iron Man in 2008 then TDK. I like Batman Begins more then TDK actualy. It's far from a bad movie but it did not catch on to me the same as it seem to be on a lot of people, also a lot of hype for it more then anything else I think? I can't wait to re-visit this in 5 years time and check those who claim TDK is the greatest movie ever and see where it now stand in their mind, I have some idea it won't be as high.

Not trying to threadcrap, etc., but I agree with a poster above: I don't have any movie because of its fans.

It's not a philosophical thing. I hate plenty of teams (cough --- Florida Gators --- cough) and musical acts because of their fans.

I have to agree. I was blown away by TDK. Totally loved the film but what's with all the hyperbole? Greatest of all time? I don't know...

Like you I also have a sweet spot for Batman Begins that makes it very hard for me to pick TDK over it. However I do like it better than Iron Man though (which I loved too)

Kind of the reverse to the thread question, but the Internet trashing of the latest Indiana Jones film just make me enjoy it even more (as he goes flying through the air I just imaging all those who claim the original trilogy was never wacky like this screaming in anguish on there first viewing).

Oh! that is just another argument we don't want to start again But I agree I don't see how someone can claim that Indy 4 is garbage compare to the other movies, all 4 are Indy movies with the same silly jokes, over the top action and impossible stunts. That's what Indy is all about.

The problem is that too many people see to take their hatred now of Lucas (other thing I sure don't get) to very unhealthy levels. I swear if Lucas was part of Band Of Brothers, everyone on the net would be destroying this series instead of praising it, just because they see his names somewhere in the credits
