So now Fox is back in it? Last I heard, Sony, Paramount, and Warner said M$ was being unfair in the contract and wouldn't do it. Then Universal was to distribute it in the U.S. and then Fox was to distribute it everywhere else. Then they both suddnely backed out for no reason. So now Fox wants it again? Weird.

Well, XBox fanboys will have to buy Blu-Ray players if they want to see Halo in HD.
Nice!!!

And Gears of War film will be by New Line Cinema. But then again, this is not Microsoft’s game, it was a paid exclusive.

Guys, this is in 2009. A lot of things can and will happen in two years. I'm sure Microsoft won't allow the movie to be released in BD. That is, unless HD-DVD is dead by then..

I think you are talking about the XBox 360 Service Pack 2 edition.

Halo being Microsoft and being produced by Fox Blu Ray exclusive has to be the definition of irony!

Why isn't Columbia Tristar producing it?

That is funny and ironic. But everyone should be Blu by July of next year, so at that time it will not matter.

It is funny

All this tells me is we need 1 format. That format should and will be Blu-ray.

Some total unknown director (Neill Blomkamp) is attached to Halo. I'm confident this movie will turn out like most other video game based flicks: It'll bomb.
