Releases from Thailand? - Blu-ray Forum

There's starting to be some good local distribution there and I've gotten some movies which seem pretty much identical to the US releases (but with different language/subtitle options), and somewhat cheaper too...

So, any chance there might be a dedicated section and flag here in the future?

To sum up...

Catalyst Alliance repackages the Hong Kong Blu-ray Discs sold by Universal. This allows them to have a space to put the Censor Board stickers on the artwork.

P is the only offfical Thai release locally produced for the Thai market.

All other releases are either US or Hong Kong imports with the Censor Board stickers on the outside of the shrinkwrap.

I can say there's nothing special about blu-ray in thailand since all of them are imported (except 'P' which mentioned above)

And since they are imported, buying from the original source would be cheaper.

They're imported from US/HK or Taiwan

jsdvd from Taiwan has the pretty good deal for Blu-Ray and that's pretty much it.

Blu-Ray is not very popular at all in thailand and i'm sooo wish to see thai movies that i like on Blu-Ray
