It's hard to say Gears of War is better, when Halo 3 isn't even release yet. But alot of people like the Online Mulit-player side of Halo. Others like the single player game (they like the story and Music), Most like Both.

Everyone has there own opinions about what a great game is. Personally I think Resistance is an ok, the style of play reminds me of Call of Duty.
Plus it's hard to compare new games to Halo and Halo 2 since both Halos have been out for years. Halo 3 most likely will be nothing mind blowing since they're just finishing the story. I think it will be a good game, but I'm not excepting anything part of it to blow my mind.

Well I'm getting my halo 3 tomorrow. I have both ps3 and 360. I think Halo 3 is one of the best online games ever. It's not the best graphics like gears of war and probably resistance, but its really fun. What makes it really fun is since most of my friends get it, its kewl to play with them. But its personal taste anyways

My Xbox 360 died 4 days ago or I would definitely be getting the game.

I take some solace in knowing that Microsoft admitted the Xbox 360 is flawed and that replacing/fixing them is costing them a crapload of money. Hopefully Microsoft won't release another gaming system due to the 360 fiasco. I would much prefer they go the route of Sega - ditching the gaming hardware sector and produce their games for Sony and Nintendo hardware. Sony and Nintendo DO NOT build junk.

Well, I can dream, can't I?

I can honestly say that I don't think many will be disappointed with Halo 3. The reviews were amazing, and it definitely looks to be the best yet.

I'd be playing my copy right now if I didn't have to work tonight. I can tell ya that the graphics are amazing!

I rented Halo 1 for the PC a while back but never finished it. I guess I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I can't understand the hype.

I know I am going to catch a lot of flame for this, but without Halo there wouldn't likely be Resistance....

I know Resistance is one of the PS3's AAA games, but you owe a lot of that success to the Halo franchise...

Believe it or not, Halo the original reinvented console FPS. Before it there was Goldeneye and Perfect Dark which were great games, but lagged seriously far behind the efficiency of controlling an FPS on a console.

Not to say that the gap now is even, most still prefer PCs for FPS, but it certainly leveled the playing field more drastically...

Compound that with the fact that Halo also brought HUGE multiplaying options to consoles as well.

Like it or not, for console online gameplay, Halo 2 is a benchmark. There has not been a game on a console that has been able to match it. Love it, like it, or hate it, you can't find a more complete online experiance on a console as of yet...atleast until tommorow hits...

All of the things that Halo has done for console FPS has paved the way for games like Resistance and Killzone....

Unfortunately, I have to wait till tommorow afternoon to pick up my reserved legendary edition, hopefully they won't sell it before I get there. I just have to work tommorow and can't afford to take off to go tonight at midnight.

What you say is true. Any idiot can pick up the game and beat it. That is why people play it. They may have revived FPS, but Unreal Tournament set the new standard in online play in my book.

If my 360 still worked I would buy it. It has reel grass this time and all of the walls and rocks are not flat. 1 and 2 looked like they only used the 8 crayons that we had in kindergarden to color the game. I've been playing warhawk since day one. Still loving it. MEGA_DEATH owns you

I will not be getting Halo 3 tomorrow. I will rent it and check it out, but not buy it. While the Halo's have been good games, the series is not as great as all the fandom makes it seem.

I am looking forward to HAZE. I hope that game doesn't suck. I will check out reviews before I get that one.

This is the one main reason I don't sneak out and buy an X-Box 360...I don't want a piece of junk that is going to die on me. There are a few games that I'd like...namely the Halo series, and that zombie mall game that came out last year...but I'm not wasting $500+ for it.

I love my PS3 and my 360, but have no intention of buying Halo 3. Simply never a fan of the series.

Never played an Unreal Tournament game either. Guess I'm not big on FPSs either, lol. The FPSs I do love however so far have been Half Life 2 (which I consider one of my favorite games of all time), and Resistance.

The reliability of the system is one reason I choose not to buy X360 games or support the system much anymore. I was ok being on my third system, but after hearing that MS has about a 33% failure rate and was only extending the warrenty, that was enough for me. I will still buy a game if I REALLY want it, but I will get multi-platform games on the PS3. Plus I kinda have always liked Sony more.

Thats a shame, its the holding hub that is the problem. They can exchange it and try again. The gamer gets hurt here nothing more.

360 disappoints a lot of gamers.
