Default New to BluRay technology

Hi everyone,

From what I can see, this forum seems of very high quality. Thanks to the developers. Kudos to you.

I have a technical question that has probably been asked before. Although I have looked and did not find anything yet.

My question is this:

If someone makes a copy of a BluRay on a PC... and then plays that same BluRay copy from the computer, on the best HDTV available and the best home theater sound system available, be getting the same quality results that the original BluRay disk would give on the best BluRay player connected to the same HDTV and theater sound system?

Being someone new to this technology I hope my question is clear enough.

Thank you in advance

First off, welcome Zoas to Blu-ray.com and we hope you enjoy your time here. There are enough forums and sub-forums here to satisfy your curiosity and interests forever.

The developers, moderators, reviewers and members all play an active role on this site and are very accomodating and helpful to each other.

You should know, as a new member, that the discussion of copying Blu-ray discs is not allowed here. We are supporters of the format in its orginal intended state and we support it by buying the physical copies.

John
