I just added my purchase of Snow White to my bluray.com collection profile and noticed some of the review ratings looked weird. For example, Bottle Rocket has a review of 5 stars on bluray.com, but in my collection it sits at 4.5. Persepolis on the other hand, sits at a perfect 5, yet when you click on the review it's only 4.5.
What gives? |

Are you looking at the "overall score"?
It's taking into account the average of the user reviews, to compile an "overall score", combined with the official blu-ray.com review. Hover over the star rating for the actual score, because sometimes they are rounded to the nearest half-star. Last edited by benricci; 10-05-2009 at 06:25 PM. |

You're right, although "Before the Devil Knows Your Dead" is a weird one. Bluray review is 5.0 (agreed!!). User reviews are at 3.7 (Booo!!!). Combined score is 4.2, but in my profile it still shows at 3.7.
There's a glitch in the Matrix. ![]() |

Ah, I see what you're talking about now.
There are 3 scores for any given title. Blu-ray.com score, from the official site review. User Score - obviously an average score from all user reviews Overall Score - combining the average of the user reviews and the official blu-ray.com review. The score that appears in the Collections Gallery appears to only be the User's Scores, and doesn't factor in any blu-ray.com review scores (what I was referring to earlier - the "overall score"). That is what you are seeing. |
