Default Deep Impact vs Armageddon

Deep Impact is the first to blu-ray, but I was wondering which was your favorite: Deep Impact or Armageddon.

I didn't like either. Armageddon is one of the worst films I've ever seen...despite having a great cast and special effects.

I think I have to re-watch Deep Impact, I haven't seen it for quite a long time, but I don't remember it having very much "impact" on me...

Thread seem very familiar, wasn't there another one like this not too long ago?

I think Armageddon is the more fun movie of the two but pure cheese of course. Yes let's make some oil rig workers into astronauts, how could we be wrong with that?

I think of the two Deep Impact was the more realistic but not as fun, too serious. But you can't go wrong with Morgan Freeman as the President, he's got my vote.

I go with armageddon. I really am not an elijah wood fan but in the other hand im not a Ben Affleck Fan either. But i would rather watch a movie with better supporting actors and a little weaker story. 2 hours of Tea Leoni is a lifetime....

Deep Impact was a very good film-- had a strong emotional pull

The other one was inane to say the least-- I remember being so disappointed that summer along with Godzilla-- just bad movies

Both are good movies, but Armageddon is better. I wish it was on Blu.

I was never a fan of Deep Impact, and loved Armageddon so that would be my choice.

Also, this is the third thread this year regarding these 2 movies:

Clearly Deep Impact. It has a much more sound story to it, and has fantastic character development. I like armageddon, but only as a brainless action packed movie, typical michael bay

IMO Deep Impact is the more realistic of the two movies, but I enjoy Armageddon more. I can't wait for Armageddon to hit blu. If they do a good job with it it should have awesome audio and video.

None of the above. Armageddon was putrid; Deep Impact merely stank really badly by comparison--so I guess if I had to choose one to sacrifice two hours of my life over, it would be Deep Impact.

Deep Impact is the better. While it is overly weepy at times, it is definitely more realistic and has much better acting.

Armageddon is essentially a music video. And not a very good one at that..

1-10 scale
Deep impact- 5
Armageddon- 3

Both movies have plot holes so large they could swallow the asteroids portrayed in the films. Consequently it comes down to two things, which film is more entertaining and which film has the more likeable main character. For me it's simple, I much prefer Bruce Willis to Elijah Wood. Combine that with Buscemi and Willis' other misfits, ignoring Affleck as much as possible, and my vote goes to Armageddon.

Armageddon without a doubt. Deep Impact was 2 hours of or snooze before a 5 minute money shot.

Armageddon was filled with action, comedy, suspense, and I even recall sitting in the theatre hearing people sniffle at Bruce Willis' final moments.

I think for disaster flicks they both do exactly what their supposed to do in this genre. both are enjoyable and fun. but boy how can you not give the nod to Armageddon just for the simple fact that it is a MICHAEL BAY film! I laugh every time a see one of his movies because THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME MOVIE, SHOT FOR SHOT AND WORD FOR WORD! I always look for the massive fireball shot of the sun with some helicopter or other flying object and I think all is right with the world. I love the guy for being, as stated earlier in this thread, the king of cheese.
