Default Pioneer BDC-2202 (BDC-202) & Vista Media Center

I would like to be able to watch commercial Blu-Ray movies using Vista Media Center on my Shuttle XPC G5 3300. The Shuttle G5 3300 has a Intel Core 2 Duo processor at 2.13Mhz, Intel GMA 3100 mother board graphics at 1080p over HDIM 1.3a with HDCP and 2GB of memory.

Will blu-ray movies playing on the BDC-2202 work in 1080p via the Intel GMA 3100 graphics over HDMI on my Shuttle XPC or will need other hardware/software upgrades?

Thanks

You may run into trouble with the play back not being smooth

What I would probably suggest is try it and see how you go - if it does stutter and that you want a graphics card that has hardware decoding. The best ones at the moment seem to be the HD 2600 series from AMD/ATI with UVD.

I'm not worried too much about the play back being soomth. I'm worried about compatibility. Will the BDC-2202 work with the Intel GMA graphics from a codec and driver capability or does the drive require a Nvida PureVideoHD capable card etc? For that matter, is the intel GMA 3100 NvidaPureHD codec capable.
