personally I would go with size and quality over the 120/240 hz, most LCDs will not have Motion Blur, response times are much better then they were 5 years ago. I would first start with the biggest Sony or Samsung I could get and then add features like 120 hz, etc. on as a benefit to what I was spending my cash on.

Sony BRAVIA XBR Series KDL-52XBR9 52-Inch 1080p 240 Hz LCD HDTV
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BRAVIA-KDL-52XBR9-52-Inch-1080p/dp/B001VFMA5Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1255569849&sr =8-1 This is only $2,100 and it is a great TV. This will leave you some $$ to start on some surround sound. If you have that already, then just save the $800 ![]() This meets yous size requirement and exceeds the refresh rate you wanted. The 52" XBR9 is on sale at Best Buy this week for $2099.99, two cents more than Amazon. LOL! And you can pick it up locally. No need to wait for shipping and or worry about exchanging it if you need to. Also, the Samsung LN52B750 is on sale at Best Buy for $1799. (In store, their website still shows $2019) That is over $200 dollars cheaper than Amazon's price which is an amazing deal and it's probably the best LCD out there right now that isn't an LED model.
Take the XBR9 over the Z5100 if you're going to go with SONY. Last edited by YodasFootPowder; 10-15-2009 at 02:16 AM. |
