Default Quarantine blu Ray. First time I ever remember jumping during a movie

I don't know what it is. Must be the first person camera and having so much jumping out at you. The movie was soso but they did something right, and mixed in with good surround audio all together got me

anyone else a lil jumpy on this one or am I just a pu$$y

You should also check out the original movie, [REC]. It's a Spanish film that came out only a couple years before it was remade as Quarantine, but I personally found it to be even more effective. The acting, imho, was better and more realistic, and the climax was really creepy.

Will do. I still think the actor in this ( the one who played Emily rose ) is pretty good

Drag me to hell is pretty good too,

I think it just came out on BD, got pretty good review on movie itself, as well as PQ and AQ

I think the lowest of these 3 are 4 1/2 stars out of 5

Drag me to hell is a horror comedy akin to the Evil Dead trillogy. If you're after scary horror, it's probably not the film you are after. I prefered quaranting to Rec, which I thought was merly okay. The one thing I really didn't like about Quarantine was the final shot was a bit to cliche (such a good ending up untill that shot), and the start was a bit slow, but okay none the less.

that's true, however, DMtH will also make you jump.

HAVING A 200 LBS SWEATY LADY JUMP ON YOU, NOT FUN.

I found [Rec] -the original- much better than Quarantine, actually, i just dont get why on earth they had to make a remake within a year, its all the same but worse imo.

Btw, [Rec]2 is on cinemas atm, at least in here (Spain), but from what i've heard, they messed up the original story of the first one.

Edit: oh, to watch [rec] you should watch it in spanish with subs, since if you dont... you're losing half of the acting.

I'm sure everyone can figure out if they want to watch a foreign film in its original language with subtitles or not.

Speaking of which, is there a version with subtitles that will play on US Playstation 3s?

I jump all the time. It makes me laugh at my self. I jump more than girls I take. I think I just get really into what I'm watching. I believe it to be a skill

Quarantine doesn't even deserve to stand in the shadow of [REC]

I'm pretty excited for [REC] 2

The ending of REC is what ultimately made it so much better than its American counterpart. The monster at the end of the film, along with the direction the writers of Quarantine decided to take the explanation of the outbreak further adds to Quarantine's problems. A subplot about a
[Show spoiler] doomsday cult member stealing a virus and infecting the building with it
turns Quarantine into another 28 Days Later clone. They're just Rage Zombies as far as I'm concerned. The premise of REC is so much more interesting, especially now that its been expanded upon in REC 2.

I loved Quarantine. I thought Jennifer Carpenter did a great job as the lead.

Really good movie, IMO.

[REC] is magnificent. I have no desire to see the American remake (Quarantine).

Quarantine was quite scary I thought (no I haven't seen the original yet).
Talk about using surround effects to good use! You can really freak yourself out with this movie with a good speaker set-up

Quarantine was an ok remake that wasn't needed. But [REC] is way better, scarier too.
