Default Top Gun release

I pre-ordered my copy few weeks ago, it was supposed to be shipped yesterday. Now they changed the shipping date to Nov 12, anybody?

Dual Format owners and fans of the film, you won't be dissapointed. The transfer is over-all solid (a few scenes with crushed blacks and grain looked filtered on air craft carrier scenes, a few airial photography shots look dated) But mostly really, really good. Especially any scene not in a jet. The Audio is referance. The TrueHD track destroys the Shallow and Tinny sounding DTSES track, and the DDEX+ track just flat out can't compare.

I was actually just going to make a thread about this. I went to my local Walmart today to pick up Underworld on BD which turns out they didn't have any. That pissed me off, then I got more pissed off when I seen several copies of Top Gun on HD DVD sitting right there. A movie that for all intents and purposes should have been on BD as well, so that pissed me off even more.

WTF is up with this format war? It gets more f'd up all the time. For god's sake there are only two places in my entire city that sell hi-def movies, FutureShop and Walmart. Neither of them had Underworld which was suppossed to be out 2 weeks ago. Don't know if they even recieved any in or if they both just sold out. It's becoming a bigtime pain in the ass to even try and buy a movie as I have to keep checking these stores for their new releases. Most of the time they don't even have them in on their release date unless it's a HUGE title like Departed or 300. And Iam trying to pay off my credit card so I don't feel like getting everything through Amazon anymore. They are about the only easy way to buy a hi-def movie though it seems.
