Default Is the gaming scene settled down at least for a few months?

october and november were big months for gaming ( Fallout goty, CoD MW2, Forza, Uncharted , dj hero, assassins creed 2 etc etc )

When is the next "big" title coming out and what will your next one be?

Last i saw nothing big comes out til end of january/feburary ..??

It's downloadable but PixelJunk Shooter (December 24th maybe) is the next big game for me.

Elder Scrolls V

undisclosed date in 2010, supposedly the setting is 200 years after part IV:

The synopsis for Greg Keyes' The Elder Scrolls: Infernal City at Waterstones is described as:

"A novel that takes places forty-five years after the Oblivion Crisis, which is the story of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion game and the expansion pack Shivering Isles. It partly bridges the gap for the next game, which is set 200 years after the Oblivion crisis."

Everything's quiet because no-one wanted to compete with Modern Warfare 2; except Assassins Creed 2. Modern Warfare was the biggest selling shooter of all time. Since games take so much effort/funds to make, everyone is really just giving it a wide berth. Heaps of games pushed their dates into 2010 when MW2 was announced: Bioshock 2, Singularity, I'm sure there's others.

As far as disc-based games go, pretty much everything that was due to be released this year is out now barring any last minute surprises. January through March of 2010 looks to be extremely heavy on big games though - almost more so than this holiday.

You couldn't be more wrong. I named at least two games that had their release dates pushed back, not coincidentally, from November 09 into 2010, and I remember there being at least three others. Unfortunately I just didn't put their release dates in my diary before Modern Warfare 2 was announced.

When I say "due to be released" I'm talking in the real world where people actually show up to stores. I'm aware that a bunch of titles got moved into Q1 2010 (Army of Two: 40th Day, Bioshock 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, Dark Void, Red Dead Redemption, Dante's Inferno, and heavens knows what else got moved before it got officially announced). That's not the question that was asked in the OP.

As things stand today unless you're interested in something like The Saboteur, pretty much the entire holiday '09 console software lineup is on store shelves right this moment.
