extended cut of underworld

i am contemplating picking up the underworld trilogy, i still can't decide. i have read mostly quite positive reviews here and in quite a few threads. i have some amazon GC money staring at me and it is either pick up the underworld trilogy or spread it across a few new and or used movies.

i have only seen the theatrical version of underworld and none of the trilogy on blu-ray. does the extra footage from the unrated/extended version of underworld add to the story?

lastly, looks as if it is as cheap as it has been for the trilogy. there would not be any obvious reason this would take a price drop anytime soon would there?

I picked up Underworld for $7.99 during black Friday. I doubt you will see that kind of price point again. If you really want it go for it. Otherwise I would wait on a drop in price.

A price drop will probably happen most likely next christmas. Although this year it seems they're really trying to push blu-ray with real low prices. It's really a gamble and ho much you want it. I've only ever seen the extended edition.

Honestly no it doesn't add to the story that much. All it is, is a few extra minutes here a few there but nothing that extraordinary

thanks. i went for it. i enjoyed the movies and i think they will have good replay value for me. as i said, i had some amazon gc money that was sitting there taunting me. that said, i also picked up run lola run, i robot and casino royale. this site is killing me...lol...only a month in. yikes. i have now put myself on a strict no-buy policy. that is ok, i have enough to watch for a few months.
