Dead Space=Event Horizon? - Blu-ray Forum

Okay so I was watching Event Horizon tonight and couldnt help but notice
how similar it is to the game Dead Space.....is it me or does Dead Space &
Event Horizon have the same type of creepy space atmosphere?

Yes Dead Space defiately takes elements of Event Horizon also alot from Aliens

Yes i agree, im already half way through second play through superb game. I see elements from Event horizon, The thing and aliens. Lets just hope the upcoming film has an 18 rating anything less and film will fail.

I read somewhere (cant remember where) that EA are planning to make a film they even metioned a director, again i cant remember who! sorry.

Just googled it. I didnt know there was a film in the pipeline that news must of escaped me. Great news anyway

and DJ Caruso is the directer

I'd say its close to EH but its got some of its roots firmly planted in the Dennis Quaid movie "Pandorum" as well.

I can sort of see it, but it has more to do with a lot of other sci-fi/horror films than Event Horizon. It's not like the ship is possessed, rather there is a mutagen strain that infected its inhabitants.

hmmm, ill still probably give the movie a shot, ill give it a rent though, doesnt sound like a strong blind buy candidate
