Default Help with In-Law's purchase.

Looking for a little advice for my father in-law. Long story short, looking for a new TV for a basement, little use...mainly for holidays, annual super bowl party, and a bit of Wii for his grandkids. I think his max width is around 45''?

He's probably going to shop at HHGregg. First thing he looked at is an LG LCD, 47'' srp supposed to be $1399, on sale for $978. I don't know the model.

My first suggestion was a panny plasma 50'', but I really don't think it's going to fit his space. Mine measures close to 48'' wide.

1) Needs to be at HHGregg
2) Not the main TV, even in the basement
3) Needs to fit space

Look up the model, or just take a tape measure to yhe store with you.....I've done that before

I would get the larger/cheaper 720p for his uses though.....

Well he bought the 47" LG LCD. I think he overpaid for what he got but the salesman really sold him on the 1080p vs a cheaper, bigger plasma at 720.

Oh well.
