Default Intel's Blu-ray support?

Hey guys, does anyone here remember the news article that stated Intel's decision to "I believe" support Blu-Ray mid-year 2008? What do you think is the possibility that Intel will switch sides even though Intel has close relations to Microsoft given MS's staunch support for HD-DVD?

What do you think Warner Bros. will do regarding their support for the two formats? I think that if WB switches to Blu-Ray completely, HD-DVD might as well call it quits because its obvious that BD has the majority support of almost every Hollywood Studio along with most CE Manufacturers.

If only we knew the future. I never thought of Intel as a big Blu supporter, interesting.

I'm of the belief that this will be decided with computer sales. Blu-Ray has more capacity and is more attractive as a back-up solution. Computer users always go for things which can hold more data. Apple is coming out with a Blu-Ray player option soon and all these computer drives will lower the per-unit cost just like they did for DVD players.

That's why Blu-Ray will take over. That's the mass acceptance which we are all waiting for. At least that's what I think.

Intel has become a lot closer to Apple lately then M$. The Apple comps always get the newest and best processors from Intel exclusively!

just like microsoft with its vista (which provides autoplay for both formats), Intel, I believe still support HD DVD. But they will provide an ability for BD to be played in their newest centrino, just like microsoft providing that autoplay option.
