Neither were great, but Clash of the Titans was fun whilst Prince of Persia was pretty atrocious. COTT has some great effects and decent action. While the character acting is somewhat stiff, I really liked the fun of the mythology.

Prince of Persia has awful, laughable dialogue and I feel like someone made the director cut the film down. Things just go to the next thing to the next thing, etc., without any breathing room. I also thought the ending was terrible and the heroine, while beautiful, is incredibly grating.

COTT: B
POP: C-

I strongly recommend a blind buy on both, as you said you have missed both in theater, and save the rental costs as a partial to the purchases.

Prince of Persia;
Superb flick harkening back to the times of Ali Baba and 40 thieves films. Treachery, deception, backstabbing, blood lust and magic....and thats just the first 10 minutes lol. =)
Very well done, new twists that one may not see comming, good action scenes, splendid sets and old city CGFX, and well cast. Solid romance angle between the 2 stars as well.
This movie was made for BluRay imo.

9/10

Clash of the Titans;
Despite what some say, this movie takes the ancient story into the state of the art movie making times of today and handles it with respect and class.
I can not wait for this one to get into my BluRay player.
The script has good cadence and never drags, the characters are bigger than life, the task at hand is overwhelming, the cast is perfect and the "monsters" are sublime.
This is a popcorn vehicle that takes the viewer on a great ride from start to finish. The end of the film is absolutely surreal in it's big finish.

9/10

I voted "Both"...they're real neck-and-neck in terms of appeal...if a gun was to my head, I'd probably have to go with PRINCE OF PERSIA, I guess...maybe...(*shrug*)

I would get both, but if i had to choose one it would be Clash of The Titans as its released earlier and I personnaly like evrything ancient related more.

nevertless, I am in your situation as well as I have not seen the movie in theatres and this movie is a blind buy for me. and I have to say no matter what people say the trailer still looks damn good to me.

Think of it a second, Scorpions+smth very big at the very end+flying horse+ancient cities = why not give it a chance?

P.S. Also, the steelbook artwork is just astonishing.

Prince of Persia was definitely the better movie imo.

Like some others said, there was some choppy editing and some close up action but it was a very good and entertaining film.

I'd recommend that one.

Clash of the Titans was...ok.

I haven't seen Clash of the Titans yet, but I would highly recommend Prince of Persia, so I'll go with that.

Neither. Save your money for better titles. Now, if you really MUST buy one of them... IMO Prince of Persia is a tad "better".

Nothing could be as bad as Clash of the Titans with a budget like that.

I just finished watching Clash of the Titans, a very solid Blu-ray in both PQ and AQ. In my opinion it's better than the original in almost every way. Not the greatest story but oh so nice to look at. I thought it was a lot of fun. Why not get Clash of the Titans now and get Prince of Persia when that movie decides to release?

Both are about on par with each other, I personally liked Cott a BIT more but PoP was a fun romp too. Nothing too special

Thanks guys! Looks like PoP is in the lead! Of course, I will definitely watch both (have Netflix so won't be adding to cost), but as far as pre-ordering, I'm leaning toward PoP.

And a special thanks for those who posted about the other matter.

I wouldn't buy either one of those movies. Neither of them were promising. Waste of money.

I have seen and like both. My advice is BUY CoTT and if u don't like it sell it for a good profit, and use that and the inevitable Disney coupon to buy Persia.

As much as I thought Prince of Persia was not too good, I didn't even think Clash of the Titans was worth watching. That said, I would definitely at least rent Prince of Persia, if not buy it, as it is a good popcorn flick.

Seen both. I have no plan on getting Clash Of The Titans, not now and not when it's going to be in the $5 bin at Wall-Mart either

I will be getting Prince Of Persia however.
