Thoughts on a Sony KDS-50A2000

Hi all, just got my first HDTV, its a 50" Sony KDS-50A2000 1080p, and just wondering what are your thoughts on this T.V. set. It was sort of an impulse buy, i found it at CC $699!!! It was previously opened, but in flawless condtition and just could pass it up. Also it didn't come with manuals or anything and have been wondering if it can do 24fps? thanks!

hate to say it but there have been 2 newer models since the a2000, the a2020 that had a black cabinet, and the a3000 that does 120hz and 24fps.

the a2000 doesn't do 24fps.

Despite that, sxrd is a great set, and the a2000 in its time always recieved great reviews, It was the first sxrd model to do full 1080p.

Did CC give you a new lamp? If not, get a service depot to replace it for you (your lamp has a 1 year warranty with the receipt).

We have the 60" and just bought the 50" (A2020). The only difference between the 2000 and 2020 series is the black facing...It does not do 24fps. We bought the 50" after living with the 60" for a very satisfied year..
