Awesome transfer, great sound (three year old receiver doesn't do PCM etc so the 1.5 Mbps DTS track was quite welcome).

Anyone else got this? I have to say the implementation of the menu system was a little crap though... no main menu screen, just the floating menu along with a few other niggles.

Was it released in the UK already? I'm jealous I'm a huge Simpsons fan and I'm getting this for Christmas.

It will be interesting to compare a 2D film on both Blu-ray and DVD. I haven't done that and plan to do so with The Simpson's Movie.

Is it me or was this planned in advance to makes us blu supporters poor during Christmas time. Seems like there are great release every week.

I should have supported hd dvd and this way id have more money.

Simpson's is on my wishlist too!!!!!

Thanks for the information. Have been on the fence about this title.

It is an awesome movie, one of the funniest movies I've seen all this year.

How are the extras on this film? I am normally not one to care about extras, but for some reason I think the extras on the Simpsons movie could be great.

Uh oh... does this release have a DD 5.1 English track? My receiver doesn't do DTS. =(

My xmas list is filled with (minus the seinfeld complete set) and this movie is certainly on it. Huge fan of the simpsons and actually never got around to seeing it in theaters, so I'm definitely very excited to see this in blu.

I saw this one in the theaters and I can say without hesitation that anyone who likes The Simpsons will not be disappointed in the least by this massively funny movie.

For bitrates, the trailer in "Live Free Die Hard" had the scene where Marge says: "They're going to destroy Springfield!" and I had the info screen up. That scene clocked in at 50mps! Yikes.
