No it has never happened to me. I'm usually late to these deals.

Now that I think about it I don't remember Amazon ever doing something like that, it's always been another site. I'm sure they have something in writing where if they make a typo and list a $100 item for $1 they can cancel the order. It's more of a PR thing at that point.

Well I would of never thought that set would go so cheap considering what you got in the package. I know most of what was packaged in that set wasn't that desirable for most either... I'm just bummed I missed out on it.

i asked amazon nicely to pm the deal from this morning and they did. I got the goonies blu ray for $6.00 a couple hours ago. It was worth a shot and it worked

Well Goonies made 3 times as much as Neverending Story (which didn't even make enough to cover its production costs), so yes... the right movie got a 25th anniversary set.

And that's not really saying much since it offers the exact same features that were available on the DVD (which came out almost 10 years ago).

No offense to "The Goonies," but "The NeverEnding Story" is a vastly superior film, and I too would've much rather had a box-set for that one, especially considering no extras have ever been released on home video for it (except on the German 2-disc DVD).

Based on the number of Blu's you have, the only reason Amazon probably made that exception is because you've most likely spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on their site, and they don't want to lose your business...I can guarantee you that if everyone who missed out on the "erroneous" sale did what you did, there's no way Amazon would honor it...
