Default Format War KABC-TV SoCal 11:00p Tonight

For all SoCal folks...

KABC-TV (channel 7) news is running a segment tonight at 11:00pm on the format war: Blu-ray vs. HD-DVD. Tune in.

ABC TV is a Disney owned entity.

Thanks for the heads up, I usually go to bed at 11, but I'll stay up and watch it.

Still have to work tomorrow, well show up anyway...
Actually I have quite a bit to finish up before my four day hiatus.

I wonder if it will be in HD or SD. I'm betting SD.......

Well probably in HD, their newscast is broadcast in HD but then again some of their stories are still done in SD.

While it didn't go into great detail, I thought it was VERY well done.

I LOVE the Disney plugs though...

Default No Mention of PS3, what Morons

Ok, somewhat balanced view, Good plug for Pirates only on blu. (And almost all footage was of blu ray, cars, potc, etc....

He mentioned hd-dvd player at 199
blu-ray player at 297

However, the MORON made no mention whatsoever that a ps3 plays blu-ray movies.

How could you possibly leave that out? Stupid, stupid, stupid.....

he is just spreading more confusion.

They talked to a vp of blu-ray sales who said the studios will try to get every penny out of both formats, And the consumer will decide, not the studios. (interesting comment)

I sent an email to them, not that they would amend anything anyway.

Do the same.

Saw the report last night... Yup no mention of the PS3 - It was more of a Pirates versus Bourne story

Here's the video...
