Project Hydra?? - Blu-ray Forum

iv'e heard the term "project hyrda" tossed around a bit by the hd dvd camp was this ever a actual real plan or was it something that someone made up and whenever things went bad they would just say well project hyrda is going to fix that or wait till project hyrda hits?

anyone got any info on what this was meant to be if anything?

it refers to an original comment made on AVS that claimed the BDA were starting a project hydra campaigne.

However that original poster has since made his allegiance to HDDVD very clear and it became a running joke with blu ray supporters, so a few adopted the title of project hydra employees etc for a joke.

All the time HDDVD started its HDONLINENOW site etc, so it was clear who was doing the real viral marketing, but missdirection is still a good tool, more so on the web.

So it was a classic misdirection by the red side. look at them instead of what were doing, clever really
