Default I have retired my position as Hydra CEO on AVSF.
Following the lead of AnthonyP I have decided that AVSF is too much hassle and will not be posting there anymore.

I urge anyone else on the edge of doing the same to follow in AnthonyP's footsteps and leave that place to the fanboys.

I certainly understand where everyone here is coming from, especially since I, too, wrote the place off months ago.

The downside is, of course: All the good people leaving and basically giving the MS guys and HD-DVD zealots free run of the place.

AnthonyP leaving is a huge blow for that place. This is someone who was objective, credible, and could just write phone books of hard facts left and right, seemingly on a whim.

If people like that leave your forum...if you even remotely give two craps about it, which I've long known that those admins don't...you need to take a moment to reconsider some things.

Only if you say you like HD DVD, which on the Blu-ray.com forum isn't too smart. AVSF is masquerading as neutral and is supposed to treat both parties the same, it doesn't, and that is my (along with many others here) gripe.

We are not brutal on reasoned argument.

In fact, people can feel free to criticise aspects of BD here without fear of a bunch of gloating posts.

We are brutal with respect to blind faith in Microsoft, lies, misinformation and FUD, as well as the people who post these them.
